Understanding Medicare

What Is Medicare?

Medicare is the federal health insurance program for people aged 65 and older, as well as certain younger individuals with disabilities. It is made up of several parts that cover different aspects of your healthcare.

Navigating Medicare can feel overwhelming with all the choices available. That is where HKG Insurance Solutions comes in. We break down the options in plain language and help you find the coverage that fits your health needs and budget.

Timing Matters

When Should You Start?

The best time to start exploring your Medicare options is about three months before your 65th birthday. Your Initial Enrollment Period begins three months before the month you turn 65, includes your birthday month, and extends three months after. Starting early gives you time to understand your choices and avoid late enrollment penalties.
